Six year old girl drowns in septic tank...

Tragedy struck in Benin City, the capital of Edo State yesterday when a six-year-old girl, simply identified as, Miss Erenmwon fell into a septic tank and got drowned.
The incident took place at Osaretin Street, Off Murtala Muhammed Way, Benin City.

Narrating the incident, one of the occupants of the building who pleaded anonymity said the late Erenmwon was given N10.00 to go and buy biscuit, and on her way to a neighbourhood shop, she fell into an exposed septic tank.

It was learnt that when Erenmwon’s dad discovered her daughter fell into the septic tank, he went to search for a ladder with which to climb into the pit so as to rescue her daughter, but it was too late as the girl had drowned.
