Custom Official Accused Of Killing 30-Year Old Car Dealer!!!

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigations into the murder of a 30-year-old car dealer, Uririnke Onojorhoevwo, who was allegedly killed by officials of the Nigerian Customs Service in Iyana Ipaja area of the state.

According to the police, the Delta State indigene was shot to death on June 16, 2013, after being pursued by customs men attached to the Federal Operation Unit.

Some policemen attached to Gowon Police Division, who witnessed the incident, said after the killing, the customs men fled.

A policeman, who craved anonymity, said, “On June 16, around 5am, we saw customs men in a Toyota Hilux van with registration number, CS307A01, chasing a white unregistered Audi Station wagon. The customs men shot the tyre of the vehicle and also shot its driver.

“The driver, who was bleeding profusely, came out of the vehicle and attempted to run. One of the customs men alighted from the Hilux, moved close to the car dealer, and shot him again. They did not touch the corpse but entered into their vehicle and fled immediately.”

18 Year Old Stabs Father To Death...

Residents of Langbasa, Ajah, Lagos State are still talking about 18-year-old Olanrewaju Kayode-Aremu, who stabbed his father, Victor Kayode-Aremu, to death.

Police authorities said the suspect stabbed his 46-year-old father to death while the man was attempting to enter his room.

We learnt that Olanrewaju was a student of University of Ilorin, Kwara State, but was expelled because he had poor grades.

A police source at Langbasa Divison, where the suspect was detained, said the incident occurred on May 1, 2013.

Rev. King challenges death sentence at Supreme Court

General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly,  Chukwuemeka Ezeugo (aka Rev. King), has again appealed to the Supreme Court, seeking to reverse the death  sentence passed on him by a Lagos High Court in Ikeja on January 11, 2007.

The cleric, who was sentenced to death by hanging  for the murder of a church member, is appealing against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Lagos which on February 1, 2013 affirmed the Lagos High Court’s verdict.

Justice Joseph Oyewole of the Lagos High Court had convicted and sentenced Ezeugo to death by hanging for the murder of Ann Uzoh, and attempted murder of five other devotees.

The condemned cleric, arraigned on September 26, 2006 on six counts of attempted murder and murder, was said to have poured petrol on six devotees for an offence which he classified as “acts of fornication,” and set them ablaze.

Alleged Killers Of Cynthia Osokogu Arraigned...

Finally, the four suspects alleged to have killed Cynthia Osokogu, at a hotel in Festac, Lagos, were arraigned before an Ikeja High Court Friday.

The suspects, Okwumo Nwabufo, Ezike Olisaeloka, Orji Osita and Ezike Nonso who were charged for murder, stealing, possession of stolen property were arraigned before Justice Olabisi Akinlade on a six-count charge preferred against them by the Lagos State government.

The defendants however pleaded not guilty to the alleged offences.
The State alleged that two of the suspects, Okwumo and Ezike on or about July 22, 2012 at Cosmilla Hotel, Amuwo-Odofin, Festac Town, conspired to murder Cynthia Osokogu.

The suspects were also alleged to have murdered Cynthia by administering Rohypnol Flunitrazepan tablet into her drink, chaining her hands and legs and strangled her to death.
