Nicki Minaj Performs Raunchy Lap Dance On Lil Wayne During BillboardMusic Awards (Video)

Entertainers Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj performed a raunchy lap dance routine during the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, proving that hip hop music is more suitable for a strip club than on the radio. The labelmates performed onstage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 19. I’m surprised Weezy didn’t suffer a seizure from all the excitement and flashing lights.

PepsiCo (Mountain Dew) Drops Lil Wayne

Seems the big corporations are stepping up on their attitude to rappers with offensive lyrics.  PepsiCo has dropped troubled rapper Lil Wayne just 2 days after his publicist wrote an “apology” letter to the family of 14-year-old civil rights icon Emmett Till.

PepsiCo, which distributes Mountain Dew, said in a statement late Friday that Wayne’s offensive comparison of Till to a violent sexual act on Future’s “Karate Chop” remix did “not reflect the values of our brand.”

In the “apology” letter, the publicist wrote, “Moving forward, I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner.” and concluded with, “…my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.”

But Till’s family dismissed the letter, saying it was a step short of an apology.

Lil Wayne Issues Apology To Emmet Till's Family

A few months ago, the family of civil rights’ figure Emmet Till expressed their disappointment with Lil Wayne for using Emmet’s name in the offensive lyric,”beat the p-ssy up like Emmet Till.” Although they lobbied for an apology, they never received one personally from Lil Wayne, and as time went by the issue seemed to have been swept under the rug.

This week, Emmet’s family decided they would try to hit Wayne where it hurts –his pockets, and after they requested that his biggest sponsor Mountain Dew drop him from his endorsement, they received the apology they were waiting for. In a statement to the Till family, Wayne wrote:

Grammy-winning and multiplatinum-selling rapper Lil Wayne suffered a seizure and "is recovering," his record label's publicist said Friday.

The New Orleans artist arguably occupies the highest rungs of the hip-hop world, but he shares them with fellow rapper Drake, who hails from Toronto.

Drake appeared at the Los Angeles hospital, where Lil Wayne is being treated, with an entourage of Wayne's friends. They pulled up chairs in the hallway near his room and set up a vigil.

Twitter has lit up with rumors, spreading fears of the worst for Wayne's outcome, but a Tweet in his name attempted to calm the tempest.

"I'm good everybody," read a message from Lil Wayne's Twitter account. "Thnx for the prayers and love."

Li'l Wayne hospitalized after in-flight seizure!!

According to tmz, Lil Wayne made an emergency landing in Texas after suffering seizure-like symptoms on a private jet ...

A source close to Weezy -- real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. -- said that, right after the plane touched down ... the rapper was transported to a local hospital to get treatment on Thursday afternoon.

We're told Wayne was at the hospital for several hours ... he checked out around 6 PM local time. 

It's unclear if doctors made an exact diagnosis -- but we're told Wayne is "doing better."
