here’s what happened: Chris Brown refused to stand and give singer Frank Ocean his props when Ocean won a Grammy for something or other.  Can you blame Brown? The two men recently went toe-to-toe in a recording studio parking lot in LA. So they have no love for each other.

Chris Brown was involved in an all-out brawl with Frank Ocean Sunday night, and sources connected with Chris insist Ocean started it.

Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents. The sources say as Chris went to leave, Frank Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot."

We're told Chris went to shake Frank's hand ... and that's when one of Frank's people attacked Chris. Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris' friends jumped in front and hit Frank's friend.

Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris ... Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.

The 2013 Grammy nominations were announced yesterday by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift, and it seems as though this year, a lot of artists who have been overlooked are getting their due shine. Newcomer Frank Ocean has a lot to celebrate as he is one of the top leaders with an amazing six nods for his Channel Orange debut album which is up for Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Joining him are Kanye West and Jay-Z who are also two of the top contenders with six nominations apiece, including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Collaboration for their work on Watch The Throne. Miguel was overlooked last year by The Grammys but this year made up for it as he’s up for five Grammys, including Song Of The Year for “Adorn.” He also has a nomination with Wale for their track, “Lotus Flower Bomb” and will go head-to-head with Chris Brown and Frank Ocean for the Best Urban Contemporary Album Of The Year. Nas also ties Miguel with five nominations including, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album. Life is definitely good.

Janelle Monae had a phenomenal year and her hard work has definitely paid off. She snagged three nominations for her work on “We Are Young” with fun. including Song of The Year and Record Of The Year. Congrats girl!

Other notable nominees include Rihanna (3), Trey Songz, SWV, Estelle, Elle Varner, R. Kelly, Luke James, Tamia, Anthony Hamilton, and Tyrese. R&B is definitely back and getting it’s due shine. Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa (for his work with Maroon 5), 2 Chainz, Lupe Fiasco and Wale round out the rap nominees while Nicki Minaj is noticeably missing this year.

The 55th Grammy Awards take place on February 10 in Los Angeles. Tonight, CBS aired its annual "Grammy Nominations Concert Live" special, revealing the list of contenders.

Frank Ocean was nominated for an impressive six Grammys total, including all of the major categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Urban Contemporary Album, plus Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video for "No Church in the Wild" with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The Black Keys were also nominated for an impressive six Grammys: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album, and Producer of the Year for Dan Auerbach.

For Record of the Year, "Thinking About You" is up against the Black Keys' "Lonely Boy", Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know", Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", fun.'s "We Are Young", and Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger". ("Call Me Maybe" was robbed!)

For Best New Artist, Ocean is up against Alabama Shakes, fun., Hunter Hayes, and the Lumineers.

For Album of the Year, channelORANGE is up against the Black Keys' El Camino, Jack White's Blunderbuss, Mumford & Sons' Babel, and fun.'s Some Nights.

Right after the Record of the Year nomination was announced, Frank Ocean Tweeted, "WTF" and "Wow." After the Best New Artist nom, this.
